Free Tax Help

Free Tax Help We will once again be hosting the VITA Program, which is a free tax preparation service available for those who qualify.
To find out if you qualify, and to schedule an appointment with them, call 211 and tell them you want to set up an appointment to have your taxes done at Stafford Library.
Appointments will be held Thursdays from 4:30-7:30pm and Saturdays from 10:00am-2:00pm, beginning Thursday Feb. 2nd.

Income Tax Forms

Income Tax Forms Federal forms and instruction booklets are available at the IRS web site for downloading and printing. You can also call 1-800-829-3676. For CT forms, please visit the CT Department of Revenue Services web site.

There are limited types and quantities of forms available in the library.

Fatherhood Discussion Group

Fatherhood Discussion Group Sponsored by the Stafford Family Resource Center, this is an 8-week support group with Josh Green that will meet on Wed nights at 6:45pm. It begins Feb 15 and goes until Apr 5. It will focus on the challenges of being a father (or father figure). Childcare is provided. Please call (860) 684-6927 to register.

Garden Tourism Program

Garden Tourism Program Richard W. Benfield, author of "Garden Tourism", will discuss the popular tourist activity of visiting gardens. His talk will include private garden visiting, historical garden tourism, urban gardens, and garden festivals, shows and events. Please call the library to register.

Discover Stafford Through Photography

Discover Stafford Through Photography There are 3 sessions left in this 8-session photography course taught by Kitty Schooley. The sessions are FREE (funded by FY2017 Regional Initiative Grant) and meet monthly on the second Saturday of the month, from 1:00-3:00 pm. The next session will be March 11th.
The last session will be May 13th. A reception will be held Saturday June 10th, from 2:00-4:00 pm to display the photographs and artwork.

A non-perishable food donation is appreciated for this service and can be placed in the Stafford Rotary collection box in the library's front entrance.
